Hello! I’m Juan, the person in this photo, and I’m excited to help you unlock the power of Spanish. My own journey with languages, especially learning English, transformed my life—it opened doors to amazing friendships and unforgettable experiences. That’s why I teach Spanish: I believe languages are the most powerful bridges we have. It brings me immense joy to help others connect, share my mother tongue, and explore the culture of my home, Quito, Ecuador. My mission is to empower you to communicate confidently with over 500 million Spanish speakers in the world, enriching your life in countless ways.

Absolutely not! Whether you’re a complete beginner taking your very first steps in Spanish or an advanced student looking to refine your fluency, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are. We’ll build on your existing knowledge and personalize the content to your specific needs.
My primary focus is on practical communication. While we’ll naturally cover essential grammar to ensure accuracy, our main goal is to get you speaking and understanding Spanish in real-life situations. My classes are fun and interactive, designed to build your confidence in using the language effectively, not just memorizing rules.
I use a dynamic, student-centered methodology that focuses on real-world application. This means we practice what you’ll actually use, making the learning memorable. I incorporate a variety of interactive tools and resources, including engaging activities, authentic materials, and personalized exercises, all designed to reinforce your learning and help the knowledge integrate deeply.
You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and a working microphone and webcam. For our classes, I primarily use Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams, depending on what’s most convenient for you. These platforms ensure a smooth and interactive learning experience.

I understand that life happens! You can reschedule a lesson with at least 24 hours’ notice without any charge. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or no-shows, will be charged for the full lesson, though we can discuss specific situations. If you’re running a few minutes late, please let me know, and we’ll make the most of our remaining time together. Unfortunately, refunds are not typically offered for missed or late-cancelled lessons.
